The earliest member of this branch of the family I
have found was a Robert Collister
married on 22 July 1792
at Saint
Peter Church Street, Liverpool to Elizabeth Ruffley.
I have only been able to find the records for one son.
Robert Collister was born on 25 December 1794 at Liverpool, Lancashire, and he was a tinman by trade. He married Alice Woods at St. Nicholas Church in Liverpool on the 26 January 1827. Robert and Alice had 8 children. Elizabeth Collister was born on 5 April 1821 at Denbigh, Wales. |
| Robert Collister born on 5 May 1823 at Denbigh,
Wales, and trained as a blacksmith. He married Sarah Wilson on 25 December 1847 at St. James Church in Liverpool. Sarah was born on 5 December 1828 to William Wilson and Ann Hannah Ashton. They migrated to Australia arriving in Melbourne on the "Marian Moore" on 15 February 1853 and lived at Richmond. Robert died on 12 November 1906 aged 84 years, and Sarah died on 21 February 1912 also aged 84 years. They had 10 children. |

Mary Collister born 19 September 1825 at Liverpool, Lancashire. Ann Collister born 20 August 1827 at Liverpool, Lancashire. Margaret Swaine Collister born 21 December 1828 at Liverpool, Lancashire. Alice Collister born 15 October 1832 at Liverpool, Lancashire, and died on 4 March 1834 and buried at St. Michaels Church, Liverpool. Henry Wood Collister born 9 May 1834 at Liverpool, Lancashire, and died on 12 June 1893 in Melbourne, aged 59 years. He was a coastal mariner. George Stockton Collister born 16 May 1836 at Liverpool, Lancashire. |
